0-16.5mm: ft Scale, Narrow Gauge
Wittenden is the latest layout to be constructed by TMRC's narrow gauge
modellers, and has been in development for some time.
Set on an imaginary narrow gauge line running across the Weald of Kent, Wittenden is a sleepy village and the terminus of the line. In addition to the station and it's small goods yard, there are also interchange facilities for a 15 inch gauge estate railway serving a nearby stately home.
Trackwork on the layout is Peco O-16.5 with buldings scratchbuilt to designs based on prototypes from the area modelled, these have been changed from time to time to fit the space available but still convey the buildings original character.
Rolling stock comes from a variety of members and sources, the line being a common haulier means a wide range of trains can be seen.
Work on the layout has been ongoing for the past few years. Wittenden made it's exhibition debut at the 2015 Tonbridge Model Railway Club exhibition.
